How to know god

The Bible says that all of us have broken God’s commandments, that, “There is none righteous, no not one.” (Romans 3:10) “and all have sinned.” (Romans 3:23).
Believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose again from the dead as payment for your sins. The Bible says, “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.” (Romans 10:9). Jesus said, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

Turn away from your sinful way of life. The Bible says, “God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent (the word repent means to change direction, i.e. away from your sins), because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness.” (Acts 17:30-31)
If you prayed that prayer, and meant it, you’ve begun a relationship with Jesus Christ, and God has forgiven you of your sins!

We encourage you now to begin to read the Bible, try starting out with the Gospel of Luke. We’d also encourage you to begin going to a church that teaches through the Bible verse by verse.

If you live in or near Montrose, we invite you to come and worship with us at Calvary Chapel Montrose. If you have any questions about your relationship with Jesus, the Bible, or if we can be of help in any way, please call (970) 240-9099.

Welcome to the Family of God!

You have just made the most important decision that anyone can make in this life. In fact you are the reason and purpose that God so loved the world (John 3:16) – the reason that Jesus was willing to leave heaven and come to earth – and you have chosen Him – Congratulations!

Now that you have accepted Jesus into your heart as your Savior, we invite you to be part of our Church family here at Calvary Chapel Montrose. So to help you get established and begin to grow in your faith we have a “Foundation in Faith” class on Sunday Morning during 1st Service.

The “Foundations in Faith” class helps answer questions that you may have about your new faith. This class begins at 8:30 Sunday morning here at Calvary in the room next to the Church Office. We sure hope you can attend as we believe it will be very helpful to you as you gain a better understanding of Biblical doctrines (teachings) that we here at Calvary Chapel try & live by. Then stay for Second Service in the main sanctuary for a study in the Word with the entire congregation.

We have an amazing Children Ministry Program for your children – nursery through High School. We want you to know that they are all welcome.

Please feel free to contact us for anything we can help you with as you grow in the Lord. We are all here to support you in any way we can.
